Lincoln City are pleased to announce that defender Joe Walsh has signed a long-term contract extension with the club.
The 28-year-old initially joined the Imps in August 2020 from MK Dons before going on to keep a clean sheet on his City debut in a 0-0 draw against Fleetwood Town.
Walsh has made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Imps this season, keeping nine clean sheets as he plays a key role in Michael Appleton's side.
The City boss was delighted to keep Joe at LNER Stadium saying: "We are delighted to extend Joe's time with the football club. When available this season, his performances have been outstanding, and he is an important player for us."
Walsh was also pleased to stay with the Imps: "I am really pleased to have signed an extension and my focus is to finish this season successfully and to get back from injury as soon as I can to help the team.
"I can’t wait to play in front of the Lincoln supporters when they are allowed back into the stadium. I have loved my time at the club so far and look forward to our future together."
Joe will be appearing on Matchday Live this Good Friday as the Imps face MK Dons at LNER Stadium. Make sure you tune in as the defender joins Sam Ashoo and Gary Hutchinson from 1.30pm.
