Subject to clearance, Max Sanders has joined the Imps on a permanent transfer from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion, signing a deal until June 2023.
Sanders has featured on the Brighton bench twice in the Premier League this season, when the Seagulls came up against Man City and Leeds United. He has also played for Graham Potter’s side three times in the Carabao Cup including an appearance against Manchester United.
The 22-year-old midfielder previously spent time on loan with AFC Wimbledon during the 2019/20 season where he made 22 appearances in all competition.
Speaking about joining the Imps, Sanders said: “I am happy to have joined a big club like Lincoln who are on the up, I can’t wait to get going.
“From watching the side this season, the manager plays a style I like. It is a good fit for me and the supporters create a really good atmosphere, that is something I’m looking forward to experiencing.”
Imps boss Michael Appleton added: “Max is a player who has been at a Premier League club with a similar style to ours.
“He has a very good range of passing, and reads the game very well, we are pleased to welcome him to the club.”
