Former Imps vice-chairman Chris Travers has returned to the club’s board to strengthen ties with the local business community.
Chris, who recently retired from his role as senior partner with Thompson and Richardson, will bring his experience in Lincoln business to the club along with his expertise within the club’s Academy.
He said: “I continued to be involved in the Academy’s technical board after I left the club’s board - there’s always been that involvement and of course I’ve followed the club home and away when I can
“When the chief executive Liam Scully approached me I think he saw my 50 years in the local business scene and saw that as one area where I could help the club, I’m quite happy to help anywhere I can really.”
Chris has been impressed by the growth of the club in recent years, and is looking forward to helping City improve on and off the pitch.
He added: “When we went out of the Football League I wasn’t convinced we’d be back in my lifetime, so to see the club in the shape it’s in now is fantastic.
“I simply couldn’t have imagined the facilities we now have like the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre, the club has progressed so much and I’m sure will continue to do so.”
