200910-CalmShirt

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) will feature on The Imps third shirt for the 2020/21 season, the space kindly donated by London North Eastern Railway.

Lincoln City Football Club and our Platinum Partner LNER are delighted to connect with the charity to help raise awareness for their suicide prevention services which have helped thousands of people.

LNER has chosen to gift their shirt branding space to CALM as part of their ongoing support for the mental health awareness charity, which includes initiatives such as the option for customers to donate their Delay Repay compensation and a line of regionally-inspired face mask designs.

Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives, with 75 per cent of those being male. CALM exists to change this.

CALM runs a free and confidential helpline and webchat, seven hours per day, seven days per week for anyone who needs to talk about life’s problems.  For details of CALM and their services, visit www.thecalmzone.net

Commenting on the partnership Ben Hawley, Marketing and Communications Director at the Campaign Against Living Miserably said:

“LNER have been staunch supporters of our life-saving working over the years, and we remain extremely grateful for their continued support. In these uncertain times people are needing CALM and our helpline services more than ever, so we’re delighted that we could come together with LNER and The Imps and raise awareness around mental health and suicide by adorning our name on The Imps new third kit. With football up and down the country returning from lockdown, it's more important than ever we continue stick together and be there for our mates on and off the pitch, whatever they are going through."

The club’s Head of Commercial, Andrew Whitham, added:

“We are currently living in a difficult period for all of us, with so many people experiencing loss and times of difficulty so to be able to help raise further awareness of CALM’s services is something we are pleased to assist with.

“It is always important to us to support our community, so when we were asked to consider displaying CALM on our third shirt by our Platinum Partners LNER we were only too pleased to do so."
