Lewis Montsma was delighted to get on the scoresheet as he made his competitive debut against Crewe Alexandra in the Carabao Cup.
The Imps came out on top as 2-1 winners with second half goals from Tom Hopper and Montsma.
The Dutch Defender was pleased with the group performance saying: "It was a tough game but we played really well, after we made it 2-1 we defended really well. We did a good job today.
"We had a higher tempo in the second half, we got used to them in the first half but everyone played better in the second half. The midfielders defended well which always helps."
Montsma continued by explaining how he has enjoyed working with the other defenders at the club: "We work as a good group, there is me, TJ (Eyoma), Jacko (Adam Jackson) and Joe Walsh and we all train together really well. There is more energy, and the level feels higher to what I was used to before."
Lewis finished by speaking about his match winning goal saying: "I didn't think, I just hit it and it went in so I am really happy to have scored and get the win today. I think the fans at home would have cheered for me.
"I hope the fans enjoyed the game and I will see you Tuesday."
