Sky Sports and the EFL are set to ensure supporters won’t miss any of the action when the season kicks off this weekend. They have agreed a new flexible framework that will ensure league matches are available for broadcast or streaming (in the UK and abroad), whilst access to matches is restricted following the Covid-19 pandemic.

And whilst the turnstiles remain closed to fans, or with limited spectators allowed through the gates, an arrangement exists whereby all matches that are not live on Sky Sports will be available to stream by clubs on iFollow. *

iFollow – Key Information

  • Fixtures to be streamed in true HD (1080p rather than 720p)
  • Availability to watch the game from a mobile web browser as well as desktop/laptop/tablet
  • Season Ticket Holders – Home league games only
  • UK Match Pass - £10
  • International Match Pass - £7

iFollow For Season Ticket Holders

Our season ticket holders will, under the newly agreed framework, be provided streaming access to home league fixtures at LNER Stadium.

In line with previous communications, iFollow match passes will only be issued to all our season ticket holders when games are behind closed doors at zero capacity or at a reduced capacity.

Once our supporters are allowed to return to the stadium at a reduced capacity, those season ticket holders who are either unable to attend LNER Stadium in person OR are unsuccessful in the ballot process to gain a match ticket, will be eligible to receive an iFollow match pass code from the club via email.

Season ticket holders will not receive codes to watch away league fixtures on iFollow, however these will be available to purchase for just £10.**

iFollow For Non-Season Ticket Holders

Whilst LNER Stadium is operating at zero or a reduced capacity, non-season ticket holders will be able to purchase a match pass for just £10 per game. This also applies for away league fixtures which will also be available to purchase for £10.

iFollow For Cup Fixtures

Our Carabao Cup first round tie versus Crewe Alexandra on Saturday 5th September is eligible for viewing on iFollow. All supporters wishing to watch the game will need to purchase a match pass for the game, for just £10. You can purchase your match pass for this fixture by CLICKING HERE.

Our EFL Trophy fixtures versus Scunthorpe United, Mansfield Town and Manchester City U21’s will also be streamed on iFollow (fixture dates to be confirmed).

*This agreement between the EFL and Sky Sports will be reviewed in October 2020 following the scheduled introduction of reduced capacity attendances.

**Revenue for away match pass sales are allocated to the home club in line with the projected number of away supporters that would usually attend the fixture under normal circumstances. Once that figure is surpassed, each club will keep anything they sell above this. (e.g. Sunderland brought 1,833 fans to LNER Stadium last season meaning that the first 1,833 match passes bought by Sunderland fans would be retained by the Imps. After that figure is surpassed, Sunderland would keep any additional sales.)
