Anthony Scully is enjoying life at LNER Stadium with the forward scoring three goals in nine appearances for the Imps this season.
City currently sit third in the Sky Bet League One table and Anthony believes the atmosphere around the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre has helped the group on and off the pitch.
“I have really settled in with the new lads in the group on the pitch and at the training ground, we have a great group of lads at the club and I love it here; it has been really good since I joined.”
The young forward is also in high spirits about the way he has performed this season saying the healthy competition in the squad has only motivated him.
“Everyone wants to play regular football, so you have to play the best you can when given the opportunity.
“I have done well when I have played this season by scoring goals and getting assists but the main thing is we are picking up points in the league and the team is doing well.”
Anthony continued by explaining how the Imps want to continue their impressive start to the season saying: “We want to keep the good performances up, and finish as high up the table as we can.
“It is still early days so we will continue to work hard to get as many points as possible.
“We have had a good pre-season and start to the season, we can only continue to develop as a squad. I feel good and have really enjoyed playing for the club and under the manager, the way we play with high energy suits me a lot.”
The Imps return to LNER Stadium tomorrow night facing Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League One action. The game is available to watch live on WeAreImps iFollow and supporters can buy a match pass here to keep up with all the action.
The 21-year-old finished by thanking the City supporters who have been watching the Imps on iFollow this season: “We miss the fans, that is the one big thing with football at the moment.
“We always want to go and get three points, but we will always work hard for the fans, especially with the support we have at Lincoln we do notice the difference with them not being there.
“We want to give the fans who are watching on iFollow at home something to get excited about and cheer for.”
