The Imps are delighted to welcome Robbie Gotts to LNER Stadium with the youngster joining the club on loan from Premier League side, Leeds United.
The 20-year-old made his maiden bow for Marcelo Bielsa’s side last season in the FA Cup against Arsenal before going on to win their Academy Player of the Year award. Robbie has made one appearance for the Whites this season in a Carabao Cup tie against Hull City.
Robbie who is a graduate of the Leeds United Academy, has previously won the Professional Development League with his parent club and can operate at both right back or as a midfielder.
Imps' boss Michael Appleton was delighted to be able to add Robbie to his squad and says he's a player who has so much to offer not only due to his quality in possession but in terms of his versatility, dynamism and willingness to give his all for the team.
"Robbie’s very versatile in terms of his ability to play in midfield or at full back. He’s got bags of quality in possession of the ball and he’s got the energy and athleticism to get up and down the pitch too." Michael said.
"Overall though he’s just another really good addition and the fact that it’s his first loan away quite excites me too because he's desperate to impress and desperate to impress his new teammates as well.”
