Imps captain Liam Bridcutt is pleased to be back involved in the action following a period side lined through injury.
The midfielder returned to action last Tuesday as Lincoln faced Man City U21 at LNER Stadium in Papa John’s Trophy action, Liam also featured in Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Accrington Stanley, captaining the side for the full 90 minutes.
“It’s always good to be out on the pitch, all I want is regular games and regular training,” said the Skipper.
“At the moment I feel really good, everyone in the backroom staff has been great with my recovery.
“As I have got older, I’ve made decisions to do what’s best for my body. The staff are really good, and we are lucky as a group to have their professional opinions available to us.”
The experienced 31-year-old discussed his responsibilities as club captain saying: “From the time I have come into Lincoln, the manager has putted added pressure onto me by making me in control of the group but it’s pleasing to be held in that regard.
“I am always there for the boys; I have that extra bit of experience so if the lads need help with anything, I am there for them.”
Liam finished by looking ahead to the next few fixtures, saying how despite the travelling, the side are looking forward to getting back on the pitch.
“We are enjoying it; we have a lot of games in a short period, but everyone looks forward to the next game.
“We have a difficult period with lots of travelling but everyone goes through it so we can’t make an excuse from it.
“We have a good set of lads and we are looking forward to the next game. We know what we are capable of and it will be a process, but we have our targets, and we are working hard to achieve them.”
