Match Day Parking

Ahead of the 2020/21 season, we'd like to make supporters aware of changes to parking availability at LNER Stadium following the Covid-19 pandemic.

As we prepare for the 2020-21 season, at this stage it is unclear whether or not fixtures will be played with spectators in attendance, or behind closed doors. What we do know is that there are some significant challenges ahead and that in the immediate future life will be very different at live sporting events across the world.

If spectators are permitted to attend football matches, there will likely be a number of restrictions in place around the LNER Stadium. While we don’t yet know how these restrictions will work, we do fully expect that parking will need to be sacrificed to create additional space which will enable the Club to maximise the overall attendance. We are therefore informing you that we believe stadium parking will be extremely limited and cannot be guaranteed ahead of next season.

We are working on a number of options, and we stress that at this moment in time we are working to a number of assumptions. Please rest assured we are aware how important close proximity parking is, in particular to those with mobility issues, however the revised design of the overall footprint will largely be dictated by the additional Covid-19 safety requirements should we be allowed to part-open the stadium to fans.

We are hopeful of further guidelines being issued very shortly. It is important to note that the health and welfare of all staff, officials and supporters is central to all our planning and of course we will communicate with you further once we have more information.

If in the meantime you do have any comments or feedback on this issue please email feedback@theredimps.com.

Thanks for your support and understanding.
