Manager’s comments

Simon Grayson spoke highly of the job that Michael Appleton is doing at LNER Stadium in his press conference.

The Blackpool boss spoke to the club's website saying: "Michael has gone in there and done a good job. He got a good result against Bolton when they won 5-1, they scored three goals in the last five minutes.

"They are able to pass the ball around and got a lot going up front with Tyler Walker, Tyreece from Arsenal and John Akinde."

The Seasiders boss continued by speaking about his side's preparation: "We have to do the basics right and stop the opposition from playing. We need to pick out the ball better, I keep mentioning it but we need to stop giving the ball away cheaply too often.

"We need to make better decisions because we keep giving it away and the opposition hurt us. We are working on that and we are hoping to turn the corner."
