Brennan Johnson scored a brace for the Imps this afternoon, taking his tally for the season to four.
Speaking after the game, the forward explained how he was pleased to find the back of the net, and that he thought the Imps were dangerous going forward.
“I was happy to score, I wanted to enjoy the game and that’s what happened with my two goals and our performance.
“The game opened up towards the end, our counterattack was really dangerous throughout the game though.
“It was a really professional performance from the boys, we knew it would be tough, but we got the ball forward well, we worked well to get in behind them.”
Brennan continued by discussing the way City handled the opposition this afternoon: “I think the more we play together, the more we will learn because today we did really well and it was pleasing.
“It shows we can win in different circumstances because they are a very physical team. They like to play it direct, but we handled that well.
“We showed our quality.
“We break each game down, hopefully we can continue to work hard to stay at the top end of the league.”
