The Red Imps Travel Association handed over a further £3,500 to Lincoln City FC on Friday afternoon, taking their donations this season to a total of £13,500.

Red Imps Travel representative Chris Ashton handed over a cheque for £10,000 to the club at March's fixture against Yeovil Town, but took this season's total donations to the £13,500 following the cheque handover at the club's volunteer lunch on Friday afternoon.

Since the turn of the millennium, the Red Imps Travel Association has raised over £100,000 for the Imps through travel to away fixtures and through fundraising opportunities on the coaches.

"This donation is handed over from the second part of the season from the travel coaches, but more importantly through the fundraising from competitions on the travel section," Chris Ashton said.

"It is pleasing for us involved with the running of Red Imps Travel to be able to hand this donation over, but more importantly the record breaking number of supporters that have followed City this season.

"The number of coaches we have been able to take to away matches this season has been amongst the highest ever for Red Imps Travel and that spirit that Danny mentions is certainly there amongst the travelling faithful."

We would like to this opportunity to thank Chris and all involved at Red Imps Travel for their hard work and support in fundraising for Lincoln City FC and helping supporters travel across the country to support the Imps.
