The Imps are pleased to announce the permanent signing of former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Alex Bradley following a successful trial period.
The 20-year-old midfielder has featured throughout pre-season for the Imps, and has scored in the victories over Lincoln United and Leicester City Under-23s.
Bradley, who spent 13 years at West Bromwich Albion as he progressed through their ranks, impressed during a loan spell with Havant & Waterlooville during the first half of the 2018/19 season, before finishing the season on loan in Sky Bet League One with Burton Albion.
The West Midlands-born midfielder, who has also represented Finland at youth level, is delighted to have made the permanent switch to Sincil Bank following his departure from the Hawthorns this summer.
"I'm buzzing to have signed here," Bradley said. "Spain was a great pre-season trip, and the games before then were good for me, managing to meet the managers and the players so soon into pre-season has been good for me.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be here, I can't put into words how happy I am to be here. It's a great club with huge ambition and I just want to kick on now."
Danny Cowley has been pleased with how Alex has applied himself during pre-season so far, and explained how his attitude has helped him fit in nicely with the Imps squad.
"Alex has come in from the beginning of pre-season and done really well. He’s got an infectious attitude and work ethic," Danny said.
"It wasn’t a position we were particularly looking to add to, but he’s come in and really affected us.
"The plan is to try and create a pathway like we do with all of our young players, because in the future he could do very well for us."
Interviews with the Imps' latest signing and Danny Cowley will be uploaded to iFollow shortly.
