190708-Litterpick

Residents from the Sincil Bank area regularly volunteer their time to remove litter and discarded items from the streets and riverbank to help create a cleaner and safer neighbourhood. Monthly clean up events are organised and led by residents and attract people passionate about making a difference and enhancing the local environment.

This Saturday, 13th July, residents will once again be donning the high viz, arming themselves with litter picks, and using harnesses to scale the riverbanks in order to collect rubbish and fly tipped items. This activity will take place before The Imps’ home pre-season fixture this weekend against Sheffield Wednesday and additional volunteers are always welcomed, with the clean up starting from 10am, meeting on the corner of Sincil Bank and Sausthorpe Street.

If you cannot join the action, why not stop and thank a volunteer on your way to Sincil Bank stadium in recognition of their continued efforts to make the area around the football ground pleasant for everyone.

Sincil Bank residents would like to thank Lincoln City Football Club supporters for being mindful of the Sincil Bank neighbourhood and encourage fans to continue to be aware of the local area looking ahead to the 2019/2020 season.
