Recently, ahead of the Lincolnshire Derby, the Lincoln City Foundation announced a relaunch of a competition titled, Magic Memories, where local ‘champions’ are nominated by other supporters for their continued hard work in their community or indeed in their lives.

This competition originated from a City fan who kindly donated money for two season tickets in memory of a lost friend and lifelong Imps fan, and we are proud to announce the initiative has made a return.

The recipient of the first Magic Moment was Imps’ fan, Billy Toulson, pictured, receiving a plaque signed by the City players from Alex Galinski of Lincoln City Foundation.

Billy, who works for Nicholson chartered accountants, was nominated as a potential winner of the award for his ongoing support as a blood donor and he recently also donated bone marrow to help cure a patient from a potentially fatal illness. A process which saw him travel to London for the procedure, it was a procedure which knocked him off his feet for a few days but Billy isn’t one to shout about his actions, he simply just wants to help those who he can. It was also noted his selfless actions have not only helped others but also inspired his work colleagues both young and old.

Everyone would like to thank Billy for his compassion and thoughtfulness for others, and hope he enjoyed supporting The Imps to victory at Sincil Bank.
