After being named as catering partners until the end of the season, we spoke to Nigel from Lincoln based catering company, R&N Catering, who along with the Lincoln Street Foot Collective, will supply local food to supporters for the first time this weekend at Sincil Bank ahead of the game against Northampton Town.
As a local company would it be fair to say you’re City supporters?
"Of course, we always like to support local success, and to be given the opportunity to work alongside Lincoln City and the fans is tremendous."
What do you see as the main challenges ahead of Saturday’s game?
"For us, with the short amount of time we’ve had to get everything in place, we are going to run the same menu that was previously on offer by our predecessors, but looking forward we have numerous ideas and new lines we want to bring to the ground and we welcome feedback from the fans as we’d love them to tell us what they’d like to see on offer around Sincil Bank."
Will we see any changes to the stadium catering ahead of Saturday's game?
"Unfortunately, the fans won’t see any big changes going into the Northampton game this weekend due to the tight time frame between us coming into be involved and this weekend. But as I alluded to earlier, we will of course endeavour to deliver a suitable catering offering that Lincoln fans can be proud of for the rest of the season."
As a local company, how proud are you to be able to come in and work with the football club?
"We are extremely proud to be part of the growing success at Lincoln City, being local is at the core of our business and it’s an extremely proud moment for us to be involved with the club.
"We have seen first-hand for quite some time now, how fantastic the fans are and their loyalty to the club is outstanding, we are hoping to build the same trust and loyalty in ourselves. We would ask for the fan’s patience over the first two games, while we find our feet and learn what works best for the fans."
