The Nomad Trust will have a collection point for all fans to donate warm items of clothing in the University of Lincoln Fan Zone this Saturday as we host Carlisle United in the 2nd Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
At this time of year it gets particularly cold and wet for those who are coming in off the streets and Nomad are always in need of warm clothing to distribute to those in need so if you have any coats, scarfs, hats or more that you can donate to their great cause then please visit their volunteer team in the University of Lincoln Fan Zone on the 1st December.
Nomad, part of YMCA Lincolnshire, provide emergency access accommodation in the form of a night shelter – the only direct access night shelter service in Lincolnshire.
Their aim is to help those with the greatest need move forward with their lives by working with them to gain access to appropriate health care and other support services, and crucially, suitable accommodation.
They provide shelter to adults aged 18 and over in the form of a bed in dormitory style accommodation, laundry and shower facilities, and a safe and supportive environment.
The night shelter is open from 8.30pm until 8am, 365 days a year. Everyone who access the shelter is provided with a hot meal in the evening and a hot breakfast before they leave.
You can still purchase tickets for the match on Saturday by CLICKING HERE as we host Carlisle United with the chance to progress to the 3rd Round!
Once again, thank you for your continued support.
