Imps manager Danny Cowley has made one change to his side for this afternoon’s match against Forest Green, as captain Lee Frecklington returns to the starting 11.
Frecklington was named amongst the substitutes last weekend against Colchester United, having missed the previous two games through injury.
That is the only change made by Cowley, as his side looking to secure their first win in three matches.
Cowley said: “We’re delighted to have him back, he’s massive for us. In our last two home games, we’ve been without some experienced players in Jason Shackell and Frecklington. We also lost Neil Eardley in the Carlisle game after half an hour so it’s good to have two of them back.”
The Imps have again stuck with the same 4-3-3 system from recent weeks, although Cowley insists it is a flexible formation.
He said: “It’ll be fluid, we have lots of different options. We’ve got Bruno Andrade who can play in different positions and not just as a left-winger, he can play in other areas. We’ve picked a team that we think can cope with the strengths that Forest Green have.
“You always have to respect the opponent you’re playing against, but also exploit the areas where we can cause them problems.”
