We are pleased to announce that Marc Tracy has joined Lincoln City Football Club as Chief Scout.
He comes to Sincil Bank after leaving Cambridge United earlier in the summer and after just a few short weeks in the role with The Imps he’s anticipating exciting times ahead.
Tracy first came across City’s management team of Danny and Nicky Cowley when they were at Braintree Town and was immediately impressed by their drive and ambition, they left a lasting impression on him so when the chance to work with them at Sincil Bank came about he was eager to get going.
“I was first introduced to Danny and Nicky when they were at Braintree, and after speaking to them for a short time it became clear that we had the same beliefs and vision going forward, so when the opportunity came to move to Lincoln City this summer it was something that really excited me.”
Tracy spent four years as academy manager at Cambridge United then had a brief spell as Head of Football Operations with Luton Town, before returning to the Cambs Glass Abbey Stadium to become Chief Scout and he admitted it was a tough decision to leave The U’s but the opportunity to link up with Danny and Nicky was something which was something he couldn’t refuse.
“I had a very good time at Cambridge and I’m a loyal person so it was a tough decision to leave but, it was a privilege to be asked to be part of the team here at Sincil Bank, and I was immediately looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“There is something special about this football club and the success that has been achieved so far has been fantastic, but there’s an opportunity to build on that and I really want to be part of something even more special.”
