181219 LCHT visit

The Imps spent their Tuesday afternoon in the Rainforest and Safari Day Wards at Lincoln County Hospital, giving presents to the children, their families and the nurse

Danny and Nicky Cowley, along with the playing squad spent time with children of all ages, as they aimed to put smiles on the faces of some poorly children and their families.

Signed posters, and a couple of big presents were on order, and the Imps boss was delighted that the Football Club could make a difference to the local hospital and their patients.

"We love coming here every year, it's a privilege for us to come and see the young children, the nurses and those who are a little less fortunate than us this Christmas," Danny said.

"It's emotional seeing the young children in the hospital who are poorly at the moment, especially when you have young children yourself.

"So, it's nice for us to come and spend some time with them, talk to them and just find out a little bit about them."

The visit brought tears of joy onto the face of a young supporter, named Bethan, as she got the chance to meet some of her heroes.

"It's amazing how much support there is for Lincoln City everywhere we go," Danny added.

"It's a brilliant opportunity for Nicky, myself and all the players to give something back."

We would like to thank Lincoln County Hospital for having us, and we wish all the patients, their families and the staff a very Merry Christmas.
