Three Lincoln bands will come together in the New Year to play in a fundraising gig for Lincoln City Academy.
Local ‘Balkan Ska Reggae Punky Chaos’ band The Activators will headline the gig at Lincoln Drill Hall on Saturday 13th January 2018 supported by The Decomposers and Sam Varlow.
Looking ahead to the event Dave Gibbons from The Activators commented “When Roger Bates, the Director for Youth at Lincoln City, contacted me with his idea for a benefit concert for the Academy I thought it was a great idea.
"Several of our band members are City fans and we were very happy to help support the young players down at Sincil Bank. We spoke to a number of other local bands and such was the interest we have had a number asking if the gig could be switched to another date so they might play.”
Playing sets before, during and after the bands perform will be members of Lincoln’s “Barefoot Rock” DJ collective.
Tickets for the gig, which is sure to include a few tributes to The Imps’ highly -successful 2016/17 season, cost £15 and are available from Lincoln Drill Hall.
Doors open at 6:30pm with the first Barefoot Rocks set starting at 7:00pm.
