The EFL has today opened a tender process for organisations interested in becoming the Official Charity Partner from the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

The EFL’s current partnership with Prostate Cancer UK reaches millions of football supporters through targeted engagement activity, raising awareness of the disease which now affects one in eight men in the UK. To date, the partnership with the EFL has raised over £2million through fundraising, supporting research to find better ways of diagnosing and treating prostate cancer.

The EFL is looking for a charity partner for a minimum of two seasons and a maximum of three from 2018/19 onwards. The partnership must continue to deliver the same high standards of success, while also supporting the strategic objectives and values of the EFL, the EFL Trust and all 72 EFL Clubs.

To be considered, applications must come from registered charities with a UK-wide reach who can demonstrate how the partnership will be used to champion a cause that offers lasting and sustainable impact in the UK.

Interested charities will need to submit applications that address the following areas:

  • Why your organisation wishes to be the Official Charity Partner of the EFL and why it would be a good fit.
  • What your main objectives from an EFL partnership would be.
  • How your organisation is delivering and making a difference to their specific cause and agendas.
  • How will the EFL and its clubs help elevate and contribute to your work?
  • What would your fundraising target be and how will the funds be utilised?
  • How will you ensure a sustainable legacy from the partnership?

Visit efl.com for full details on how to apply.

Applications should be submitted via email to charitypartner@efl.com by midday, Friday 8 December.

A final decision will then be taken in February 2018.
