The draw for round two of this season's Checkatrade Trophy has just taken place at Wembley and The Imps next opponents in the competition are Accrington Stanley
The date of the second round ties are yet to be confirmed as there are still first round group games to be played, however we do know as group winners that City will host the game as their reward for winning Northern Group G following the win over Notts County on Tuesday night which maintained the 100% record in the competition.
It's the final time that a home fixture is guaranteed for the Imps as the draw becomes what would be classed as the traditional draw from this point and we also go into a straight knockout format from the second round onwards, but it is still a regional competition.
The rest of the Northern Section of the draw is as follows:
Port Vale V Shrewsbury Town
Rochdale V Doncaster Rovers
Fleetwood Town V Group F Runners Up
Blackpool V Mansfield Town
Walsall V Bury
Scunthorpe United V Leicester City U21
Group F Winners V Oldham Athletic
