Sean Raggett has been handed a three-game suspension by The Football Association following his sending off against Wrexham on Tuesday evening.
Raggett was dismissed by referee David Rock in the 27th minute following a challenge on Rob Evans and his ban will rule him out of Monday's Emirates FA Cup Second Round tie against Oldham Athletic, the Buildbase FA Trophy trip to Shaw Lane AFC and the Vanarama National League home match versus Tranmere Rovers."Sean is a hugely committed player and only sees the ball," says manager Danny Cowley.
"His challenge was forceful and strong but he played the ball. Unfortunately, with the application of the law changing in recent years, it was deemed reckless and out of control. We considered an appeal but decided against it us we didn't think we had enough of a case to get it overturned.
"The fact the FA have the power to extend the length of the suspension if they think your appeal is unwarranted, also played a part in our decision."
