Following the launch earlier this week of the Youth Academy’s new fundraising website www.futureimpsfund.co.uk and also its latest sponsorship initiative – the Youth Academy 100 Club – the youth department is delighted to announce a brand new competition which will decide who will be appointed its new Charity Partner.
Three charities have been short-listed and the winner will be the charity which receives the highest number of votes from supporters, families, friends, sponsors and everyone who shares an interest in the future success and well-being of the Academy.
To vote, just visit www.futureimpsfund.co.uk and click on Charity Partner then follow the simple instructions. The winning charity will receive 5% of all contributions to the Youth Academy 100 Club and will be the Academy’s Charity Partner until the end of the 2014-15 season. This means that if we achieve our target of 100 investors, each contributing £25 per month, we could be donating a very healthy sum to our appointed charity.
Speaking about the Charity Partner initiative, Head of Youth Damian Froggatt said: "We wanted to recognise the fantastic support which the Youth Academy is receiving from the local community by giving something back, and appointing a charity partner seemed the right thing to do.
"The Football Club has its own charitable partner each year and currently works with Macmillan Cancer Support. The board of directors was very supportive of the Academy adopting the same idea.
"We also thought it should be a charity chosen by the community, as it is community support which is helping to sustain the Academy. We would urge as many people as possible to visit our new funding website and vote for one of the short-listed charities."
The closing date for voting is Thursday 31st October and the winning charity will be announced shortly after this date.
