Saturday’s home game against Tamworth is at the very least one of the most important in Lincoln City Football Club’s long history.
Results from our two difficult away games against Kidderminster and Luton coupled with those of some of the clubs around us in the league table mean that we find ourselves sitting far too close to the relegation places.
Whilst we have confidence in the players’ and management’s ability to achieve a positive result both they and the Board of Directors recognise that our supporters can play a huge part in helping the team gain the points they need to ensure we remain in the Conference Premier next season.
Every one of us; supporters, players, management, staff and directors are determined to turn the fortunes of our club around and it goes without saying that continuing to play in the Conference Premier is a vital part of being able to achieve our goal.
As a board we hope that everyone who has enjoyed the good times at Sincil Bank, even though they are saddened and frustrated by events of recent seasons, will be able to attend the Tamworth game on Saturday to help the team gain the result it needs to put us within touching distance of safety.
Your support during the play-off years was important. It is even more vital to us now.
