The Football Conference Trust will present Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust with a cheque for £35,000 on Saturday.
The Chairman of the Football Conference Trust - and Chairman of the Football Conference - Brian Lee will make the presentation to the Trust Manager, Richard Cooper and trustee of the charity, Steve Prescott, during the half-time interval of the game against Macclesfield Town. The presentation marks the grant support they have awarded to the Trust's community programme.
The Fund offer grant support to Football Conference clubs to help support and develop community activity, and here at Lincoln City we have been given two awards: £15,000 towards a project called "Prime Time" aimed at improving the health and fitness of the over 50s, and £20,000 towards a new project called "Lasting IMPressions" which will allow the Trust to deliver a programme of activities for those with physical and mental disabilities.
The Football Conference Trust is a charity and has been made possible by the generous support of the Premier League and the Professional Footballers Association. Each contributed £400,000 over three years - making a total fund of £2.4m. Over 50 Conference clubs have benefitted from grant support so far.
We would like to thank The Football Conference Trust, The Premier League and The PFA for their continued support and generosity. Please show your thanks and appreciation on Saturday.
