Foyle pleased with Harrogate display

Ash Foyle was pleased with his U18 side’s performance as they claimed victory over Harrogate Town at the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre.

A goal from Louis Nesbitt and a brace from Zane Okoro handed the Imps victory against a strong Harrogate side.

Head coach Foyle was pleased with his team’s second-half performance, and thought that his side deserved to secure the victory.

He said: “It was a competitive game against a well organised Harrogate side. The game was pretty evenly balanced in the first half, so we felt we needed to add more intensity to our game.

“The changes in the second half proved to be the difference maker as we hunted the ball down well and scored some good goals on the counter-attack.”

Foyle was pleased with the clinical edge his side showed at the weekend and credited the team’s defensive work that earned them a clean sheet.

He added: “It was pleasing that the lads won the game while keeping a well deserved clean sheet. I think we are in a good place at the minute, and our performances are improving week on week.”
