U18 head coach Ash Foyle was pleased with his side’s performance in an emphatic win over Huddersfield Town.
Russell Berko scored a brace as Foyle’s side recorded a resounding 5-1 victory, with all five of City’s goals coming in the second half.
He said: “It was a convincing win but we should be disappointed not to have won by an even heavier scoreline.
“We showed some good discipline and control out of possession, forcing Huddersfield into errors for us to capitalise on.”
Despite the high-scoring win, Foyle stressed the importance of ensuring that his team are more clinical in coming fixtures.
He added: “I’m pleased that the lads have managed to earn a convincing result.
“We were more ruthless and relentless in the second half but in some games we will be lucky to get a couple of chances at best so need to have a clinical edge to our game.”
