Bailey Adamson thanked Imps fans for their support after more than 1,000 headed down to the LNER Stadium to inspire City to victory in the EFL U17 Floodlit Cup final.
Adamson’s second consecutive hat-trick on the LNER Stadium pitch - he’d also scored all three goals in the 3-1 semi-final win over Bolton Wanderers - coupled with a Russell Berko effort sealed a 4-1 win over Swindon Town.
He said: “It was amazing, to score three goals in a final was special - especially with all the fans, with the drum and singing my name. It’s really a great feeling.
“The fans getting behind us gave us real momentum during the game, which you can see in the result.”
