Ali Smith is looking forward to spending some time on the training pitch after a frantic festive period.
The Imps played four matches in less than two weeks across the Christmas period, with Smith expressing how important it is for the side to maximise the break before the next game.
He said: “Two weeks without a game is going to help because we have time to work on things and figure out how we get the best from this group of players.”
Smith also insists everyone at the club continues to stick together as City look to turn the recent results around.
He continues: “The main thing is that everyone sticks together. There’s a lot of ability in this team and when everyone gets back I think we’ve got a real chance.
“We come in wanting to win every game and it just seems that the way everything is going at the moment it’s not quite clicking.
“When we’re on top we’re not taking the chances and putting the other team to the sword.”
