Danny Mandroiu has credited City’s bravery as a strong contributor to the side’s positive form.
The Irishman hopes this continues as the Imps look to extend their Sky Bet League One unbeaten run to four games against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
Mandroiu said: “The head coach has come in with his ideas and I think you can see evidence of that in the previous games. We are playing a lot more football, we are buying into it and it is going well.
“Bravery on the ball is key to a successful team. We have players who can take the ball with confidence and I think you can see a lot of that quality within the team.”
The forward believes the side can take belief from recent results into the fixture at the DW Stadium but is aware of the test the Latics will pose on Saturday.
He added: “The goal against Leyton Orient was a great way to win it at the end and I think that’s a sign of a good team. Then to draw against a very strong Barnsley side was also a top result.
“Playing Cambridge away was another tough game but we dealt with them well, so the three previous matches have given us confidence.
“We know Wigan are a very good side who, without their points deduction, would be in and around us in the league - so we’re going to have to be on our a-game.”
